How to do the ombré nail design

The ombré nails design is a big trend this year! It is very cute and really easy to do! There are different ways to do the ombré nail design. Here I have found some examples and tutorials on how to achieve this look.

I love the black ombré nails! It is possible to get this look with only one color and white polish!

Simple enough right? Another way to get an ombré look is to do the gradient on each nail. Use a makeup sponge to get the ombre, as shown in the tutorial below.

Top 10 of My Favorite Nails Designs

I love, love, love cute nails! It is easy to use your nails as a statement piece in your style and fashion. Here I have gathered ten of the cutest, interesting, nail designs that I have found. These nail designs might not be incredibly easy, but they can be done at home.

1) Studded

These nails are so great. I love studded clothes, shoes, purses; why not nails? But some nail studs and use a makeup sponge to achieve the teal to purple effect. Wonderful!

2) Classy and Sexy

These nails are just simply amazing. I am definitely going to use this design next time I do my nails. The black nails are classy and simple and the red underneath is genius. This is easily my favorite nail design that I’ve ever seen.

3) Classic

If you use the right colors, simply painting your nails solid can be used in a great way. I like to paint solid colors with my ring finger being a different color that goes well.

4) Crosses

I love these nails. The black and gold is a good choice especially with the crosses. I will have to try this design soon.

5) Rosy Hearts

These nails are cute and fun. They give a sweet look and the rose burgundy and gold glitter colors are a good choice.

6) Chevron

I’m slowly getting addicted to chevron and a chevron nail design is perfect. It is simple enough and easy to do with a tutorial.

7) French tips

You can’t go wrong with a classic French tip nail design. This design can be modernized with the right colors and as the picture above shows, can be achieved easily at home.

8) Geometry

I love these nails just because they look hard but really they are simple. They are also adorable and intricate and good for a laid back style.

9) Animal Print

I still love animal print for the everyday style. Leopard, zebra, and giraffe prints are all great and easy designs to apply to your nails.

10) Polka Dot

Polka Dots are a super easy yet pretty design. I like painting one nail an inverted version of the others.

All of these nail designs are great and useful for an everyday girl. If you have any comments or suggestions comment below and share!!! Thanks for reading!

Pinterest Obsession

Ah, Pinterest. One of the many joys in my life. I tend to be a creative person and whenever I discovered Pinterest I became obsessed right away! I have thousands of pins and many boards. Pinterest is a huge contributing factor to my everyday style. I also find many products and items that I find myself wanting and buying. Which leads me to the advertising facet of Pinterest. On this site, I see many ideas that I would have not seen in my lifetime otherwise. Items and inventions are marketed through Pinterest and in my opinion, is remarkably effective. The attractiveness about this is that everyone from large companies to small businesses to sellers on etsy can market their products without the bother or annoyance of ads. If people see your product, they more than likely want to see it.

New Year. New Goals.

As the last day of the year rolled around, I, like many others, found myself thinking about all the memories made in the past year whether good or bad. I also find myself making New Years resolutions or goals. I thought that a good way to kick start this blog is to list my personal goals for 2013. Read on and get inspired!

1. Love Stronger – I like to think of myself as a loving, caring person in general. However, I know that when it comes to love I can always love stronger and more passionate. My goal is to love like 1 Corinthians 13 describes :

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.

2. Explore my boundaries – I am not the type of person to live their life being bored. The term YOLO is overused, but is appropriate in this case. I plan to live my life to the fullest and just see how far I can go. I want to push my limits and see what comes out of it.

3. Learn to pray passionately – this was on my goals list last year and I have to say I’ve learned a lot about prayer in 2012 but I can always grow closer to my God through prayer.

4. Be classy – Class is very important to me. I feel like I am not a true lady unless I have class. I am a lady and I will continue to be a lady throughout 2013.

5. Be strong – like I said, I am a lady. But, just because I am a lady doesn’t mean that I am not strong. I am a very strong-willed person and I have a strong heart. I have been through a lot and that has made me strong. I plan on getting stronger and living strong through 2013.

2012 was good to me and was one of the best years of my life. I’m excited for what 2013 has in store for me. I hope that everyone has a good year ahead. Thanks for reading!!
